Feiles, Arlan – Troop volume 1

Arlan Feiles sings the songs of the late great Greg Trooper.

Arlan was awed by the artistry of Greg instantly the first time he’d seen him perform. Every time Greg came to the Asbury Park area Arlan made sure to be on the bill, so he could probe Greg to find the secret of his truly gifted songwriting and charm. Arlan would come to consider Greg a Mentor and attributes some of his own success to Greg’s guidance and support. Greg once said of Arlan’s songwriting:

“Arlan writes with pinpoint accuracy, sings with unbridled conviction, and plays his instruments with both soul and precision.”  Clearly the feeling was mutual.
